Having arrived late evening in Sioux Falls, South Dakota for an early A.M. TV appearance, I checked in with the locals and found this unexpected treat -- "eclectic" THEO'S -- with a front lounge combo dining room with a blazing fireplace, to large, warm dining areas with a view of the open kitchen.

Our meals would prompt me to pass this gem on to my fans.

The Food

The extraordinary like:

Saganaki @ $7.95

Kassen cheese baked, then flambéd at tableside.

Domathes/Grape Leaves @ $8.95

Ground beef with onions and mint wrapped in tender grape leaves and simmered
in chicken broth served with lemon Hollandaise sauce; and

Escargot, crab cakes, salmon quesadilla, crab dip -- something for everybody's 
taste -- all above the ordinary.

Also choice of garlic mashed potatoes or baked potatoes, sauteed mushrooms,
provencal tomatoes or fettucine Alfredo.

All these side dishes are very well prepared, not just a plate filler.

Beef -- a few of the many selections:

Meat lovers will relish the Porterhouse Steak @ $27.99.
A great piece of steak grilled and served with sauteed onions, mushrooms
in garlic butter.

Jamaican Top Sirloin @ $16.95
A 10 oz sirloin steak with authentic Jamaican flavor.

Pasta dishes use homemade pasta; and Verblen's meat balls @ $16.95 will have your taste buds titillated. Pork and beef meatballs on a bed of linguine topped with marinara
sauce and fresh mozzarella. OH BOY!!!

Curry Melange @ $18.95
Shrimp, scallops and chicken simmered in curry sauce with apples, red peppers over linguine.

Garlic Hunter Chicken @ $17.95
Bone in chicken breast roasted in garlic beneath the skin and bathed in a light garlic cream sauce.

Pork Chop Cajun style @ $17.95
Pork chop Cajun marinade -- bone in pork chop.

Again, this is a great and special dining experience and Sioux Falls is lucky.
