Historical landmark (1886). Homey old world charm. Restaurant on main floor with seasonal veranda.

If you are in Rapid City, South Dakota and visiting Mt. Rushmore, you definitely want to go to the ALPINE INN for a delicious lunch or a filet mignon dinner . . . But if you go for dinner — 5 P.M. – 10 P.M. — you have two choices: "Large" or "Small" filet mignon and that's it!! (Not served at lunch.)

A delicious 6 oz. @ $6.95 or 9 oz. @ $8.95. Yes, that's right $6.95 or $8.95! This tender filet mignon comes with a lettuce wedge with house dressing, a baked potato and a piece of Texas toast.

NO substitutions on choices.

Desserts are homemade and exceptional.

Lunch features some European hearty dishes, all prepared with care.

The ALPINE INN is a local favorite and there is often a wait list at dinner. Patrons wait in the cozy bar area (wine and beer only). The bar features a large selection of German beers.
