In Harrisburg, the capital of Pennsylvania, with its countryside of gastronomic canvas that creates a perfect environment for this collaborative venture, the Harrisburg Hotel Corp. joined with the Olewine School of Culinary Arts at Harrisburg area Community College, to allow their chefs and future restauranteurs to perfect their skills with the talented staff from the Hilton Hotel and Bricco.

The magnificent local products are utilized most exclusively to produce an outstanding menu selection that makes this very handsome restaurant a desired destination.

I fell in love with Bricco when I was in town to MC a charitable dinner event for Tres Bonne Annee. Instantly, as I walked into this inviting and attractive space, I knew I was about to have a memorable evening.

The visible kitchen was humming, the chic crowd at the bar were enjoying their conversations and cocktails in the handsome lounge area and, of course, your Love Chef had to join them.

The Food

Dinner brings a great seasonal selection; one of my favs Sage Pappadella @ $10 or $20 full, with red wine braised Duck Pancetta Ragu – umm! Still dreaming about it.

And the Braised Beef Short Ribs with red onion @ $26 the plate, is one of those “life experiences”.

Monk Fish with proscuitto truffle potato and puree leek, is another favorite @ $28 the plate.

Order the Bricco French Fries with truffle oil @ $5, local root veges.

Do check for their nightly butcher cuts of steaks, chops and inquire about the grass fed beef.

Bricco’s desserts are always ‘over the top’ and, boys and girls, worth the calories.
