Planning dinner, a friend asked me if I had ever been to Sea Sea Riders; I had driven by it many times, but had not dropped in. She did some checking and said we should go there to try it out and, boy, am I glad we did for you (and me)!
What a delicious find! The decor is old-style Floridian Key West with a separate lounge area/patio seating, and a casual neat decor all housed in an historic structure. The same family has operated this restaurant for two decades, and the locals have enjoyed their labors.
Some Dinner Entrees all come with a golden salad or slaw:
Mahi Key West your seared Mahi in key lime tequila cilantro butter, mango habañero, chili salsa over coconut white rice @ $16.95 the plate.
Shrimp and Grits a great rendition of a southern classic, combination of flavors manchego cheese, sweet/spicy bacon, scallion @ $16.95 the plate.
One of my favorites, Sea Seas Pasta Seafood sautéed gulf shrimp, bay scallops, sun dried tomatoes, feta cheese, and white wine blends it all into a delightful dish over linguine, the plate $16.95.
All of the food is made from the freshest ingredients and prepared daily by a very competent kitchen. Included are delicious meat and chicken offerings one of which is a great center cut Top Sirloin with a Captain Morgan spiced rum BBQ glaze and herb mashed potatoes @ $17.95 the plate.
Boy and girls, this is a great caring restaurant experience that I wish I had found years ago, but there is plenty of life to come. Run and enjoy Sea Sea Riders!! I know I will.
