The sister restaurant to the original located a short distance away on Shoppes on Sand Key, a huge hit with regulars and visits alike. Serving southern breakfast and lunch daily.
Have you ever had BUCKWHEAT PANCAKES? They’re delicious @ $4.25, and my favorite Maggie Mae breakfast is their home made, yes, really home made CORNED BEEF HASH with eggs and toast @ $6.95.
Some not so usual are menu items like the FRIED BALONEY on a Kaiser roll is great, but as a kid I remember my Mom sometimes forgot to take off the casing, and “OK”, you like spam (not that on your computer but that “meat” in the square can)? They have your e-mail sandwich here. (No joke) pan fried and served on a ciabatta bun @ $5.95.
The more traditional CHEESESTEAK QUESADILLA is a hefty dish of shaved ribeye steak, Monterey Jack cheese, caramelize onions, roasted pepper, and sour cream and jalapenos @ $5.50 the plate. It’s a feast!
The TURKEY PANINI with cranberry mayo @ $5.50 is another sandwich I sometimes grab and pack for a trip.
Maggie Mae’s is kid friendly, and tots have a special menu.
One visit and you’ll see why the joint is famous. Don’t forget to read all the funny signs hanging on the walls.
