We are privileged to have such excellent choices of restaurants in the BLUFFS, which have become destination dining for the surrounding area.

The Jewel Café recently changed ownership with a new experienced chef/restauranteur who gave this “cute” space a spruce up with outdoor patio and upgraded its menu but with great buying power kept its prices reasonable. After serving breakfast and lunch it then becomes a party room.

My friends agree that their EGGS BENEDICT @ $7.50 with grits or breakfast potatoes are one of the area’s best, and here ‘real men’ eat their QUICHE; this deep dish (secret recipe) served with the Jewel’s Banana Pudding, or sliced tomato or potato @ $7.95 the plate will make you want to go out and play 18 holes.

As you may know, I love a good chicken salad, and here it’s a crowd pleaser. Pulled fresh WHITE MEAT CHICKEN on a large croissant @ $7.50.

This is a great party space, and the chef/owner will create a reasonable sit down dinner (up to 36 guests inside) or a tea party, etc.
