Located on North Beach in front of the Sand Pearl Resort is a great addition to the beach restaurant scene; your Love Chef wishes to tell all neighbors and locals that this fun, casual café, boasting an indoor and outdoor patio, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, is just too good to be enjoyed only by visitors to one of the world’s most prestigious beaches. As an added attraction, there is free parking right outside.
Boys and girls, everything my well-trained neighbors say about Clear Sky Beachside Café is on the mark – GREAT FOOD! GREAT PRICES! A casual atmosphere and more!!
The menu is one of the most diverse I have seen, and the owner Dan the driving force, retools things as needed.
Our appetizers started with crisp Calamari @ $9.95 the plate which, as my “Principessa” said, to which I agreed, are some of the best we have eaten worldwide; trust me, she’s tougher than me.
Ah the apps: with Mushroom Ravioli topped with Alfredo sauce, sun-dried tomatoes and basil pesto @ $8.95; the Chicken Satay @ $8.95 per dish rivals many I have had.
A nice twist on scallops – Mojito Scallops @ $13.95 the plate, with rum, lime, mint sauce and sesame seaweed salad, the freshest of fresh and great to share. Black and Bleu Fries @ $4.95 the plate, was a killer; blackened fries tossed with melted blue cheese drizzled with balsamic. Hello!
Let me share a SECRET!
They have organic grass fed beef a 12 oz. Rib Eye Steak @ $19.95 or an 8 oz. Sirloin Steak @ $15.95, a bargain. If you haven’t experienced a cut of beef from grass fed cattle hop the trolley or drive on over, because I have. Recently enjoyed a fabulous steak in Argentina so here’s a taste, and these steaks include two sides.
Yes, yes, they have Sesame Chicken @ $14.95 the plate; generous pieces of sautéed chicken served over stir fried veggies.
Drunken Shrimp Penne, a great combo of pasta with rich vodka cream sauce @ $15.95 the plate. Very satisfying and great flavor.
And you won’t believe it, they have a 12" pizza @ $10-$12.95 (no, not the make believe kind), but a real home made crust, also a variety of flat breads @ $6.99-$9.95.
The “Principessa” loved the specially baked Key Lime Pie @ $5.95 (you will not find better). As is the Apple Cinnamon Crumb Pie @ $5.95 that reminded me of my Aunt Ida’s – soo delicious.
Weekends the line is out the door for breakfast/brunch, and after you have enjoyed Chef’s home made (not canned) Corned Beef Hash you’ll see why.
GREAT BAR with seating indoors or out, with a large selection of wines by the glass, but come on Wednesday and ALL bottles are half off. Happy hour 7 nights and most drinks are half off.
Monday through Friday pizzas, flat bread, bruschettas ½ off. What a fab deal.
Entertainment nightly.
