2 pounds Brussel sprouts, trimmed
¼ cup Colavita Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 strips bacon
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ teaspoon dried thyme
Squeeze ½ fresh lemon
Sea salt, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper
Serves 8 to 10
In a large skillet, sauté bacon in the Colavita Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Reserve bacon when well rendered. Add Brussel sprouts to skillet and quickly brown on all sides, about 4 to 6 minutes, then transfer to oven dish. Add garlic, thyme, lemon, salt, pepper, and roast until fork tender (if using same turkey oven temperature). Otherwise, roast in oven with high heat at 375°F to 400°F for 30 minutes until dark shade of brown.
