¼ cup Colavita Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 clove garlic
1 28-ounce can Italian plum tomatoes, drained and coarsely chopped
1 5-ounce can tuna in vegetable oil, drained
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
12 ounces spaghetti or linguine
Sprigs of Italian parsley for garnish
Optional:
¼ cup sliced black olives
Serves 4
In a medium skillet, heat the Colavita Extra Virgin Olive Oil, add the garlic and tomatoes, and sauté for 20 minutes. Remove the garlic when golden. Add the tuna to the skillet and break it apart with a fork. Cook over low heat for 10 minutes and add pepper to taste.
Cook the spaghetti or linguine as usual. Serve the sauce over the pasta and garnish with the parsley. |
