PASTA WITH BEEF BARBECUE SAUCE

Give me a barbecued, smoky taste and you're giving me love; add pasta and it's ecstasy.

            1 small onion, chopped
            1 teaspoon Colavita Extra Virgin Olive Oil
            2 pounds shredded cooked beef
            1 teaspoon dark brown sugar
            ½ cup dry white wine
            1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
            1 cup ketchup
            ½ cup water
            1 cup tomato sauce
            1 clove garlic, minced
            1 bay leaf
            1 pound twists

Serves 4 to 8

In a medium saucepan, sauté the onion until it is translucent, about 5 minutes. Add the beef, and then add the remaining ingredients, except the pasta, and simmer for 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, cook the pasta. Toss the sauce with the pasta and serve.
